Getting the Most from a visit to the Vet

If your dog has any sensitive spots or any issues that may affect the vet’s ability to examine your dog, tell your veterinarian about it! He or she may be able to take steps to help your dog feel more secure and to ensure everyone’s safety.
If you are bringing your dog to the vet because of a specific problem (like a skin or ear problem), don’t erase any evidence by bathing or grooming your dog before the visit.

If your dog is not feeling well, take very detailed notes on the symptoms, the more descriptive the better. If your dog is vomiting or has diarrhea, for example, note how often, how much, what color and what consistency.
